Maria Clara Rios Cacua, otherwise known as Mari, is a multimedia visual artist, photographer, & poet currently based in Brooklyn, NY.

I am originally from Bogotá, Colombia but have lived in several places which include Ecuador, Tampa, Washington D.C, and currently Brooklyn. All my experiences and homes shape the way my work manifests.

“I’m a multimedia artist currently working within the language of printmaking and layering. My work as of late is focused on identity and immigration within the larger socio-political climate of America. I’m particularly interested in making work that challenges the viewer to have to look closer and think.”
